None of us have done this before. Being alive, loving people, figuring ourselves out… we’re all first-timers, learning as we go. The beauty of it isn’t in getting it right, but in noticing how we grow between the mistakes.
Forensic Behaviour Support
Melbourne University, with High Distincion
This course has strengthened my essential skills and knowledge, enhancing my capacity to support individuals with disabilities in the forensic space. Focusing on evidence-based approach, aligned with national expectations and legislative frameworks I was able to deepen my understanding of participants’ human rights issues, ensuring I can implement positive behaviour support effectively across different settings.
Graduate Diploma of Psychology
Monash University, with Distinction
Through my studies I gained an understanding of human development across one’s lifespan; including biological, perceptual, cognitive, personality, social and emotional changes from infancy to adulthood. I also closely examined legislation relating to the practice of supporting other and how to comply with such legislation, appreciating the role ethics plays in maintaining the integrity of the work.
Master of Counselling
Monash University, with High Distinction
During my postgraduate studies, I found myself drawn to therapeutic approaches that focus on acceptance, awareness, and action. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) deeply resonated with me for its focus on helping people sit with discomfort, make space for their experiences, and live in alignment with their values. Alongside this, I was influenced by Behavioural Activation based on the idea that small, intentional changes in behaviour can create meaningful shifts in wellbeing.
Positive Behaviour Support Practices (PBS)
Monash University, with High Distinction
PBS is grounded in the philosophical and scientific foundations of behaviour analysis, but also draws on and shares the values and methods of prevention science, implementation science, and more recently, positive psychology. It is underpinned by the philosophy that human beings thrive in predictable spaces where expectations are clear, new skills are taught, and positive behaviours are richly reinforced. I use these methods during sessions to also help you - but also those around you support you as well while you make positive changes.
Bachelor of Communication - Advertising
RMIT, with High Distinction
For over a decade, my world revolved around communication; understanding what moves people, why they make decisions, and how meaning is shaped through words, design, and emotion. Working in advertising for 13 years taught me the psychology of influence: how stories drive behaviour. But at some point, I realised I wanted to use that same insight differently. Not to sell or persuade, but to support and empower. So I shifted from shaping brands to helping people shape their own lives, using evidence-based behaviour support to enrich rather than market, to connect rather than convince.
